The First 15 Years A lot happened in 1993. Reggie Jackson was elected to Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame. Super Bowl XXVII was played in Pasadena and the Dallas Cowboys beat the Buffalo Bills. David Letterman announced his show was moving from NBC to CBS. William J. Clinton was inaugurated as the 42nd President of the United States. The Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday was observed in all 50 states for 1st time. And that was just the month of January! But April 1993 was of particular importance to me - I officially opened Carole's Cake Creations and began selling cakes. At that time I'd been making cakes for family and friends for over 10 years but I wasn't convinced that I could make it work as a business. It took quite a bit of prodding from my family to take this step and it couldn't have worked out better. Looking back it is hard to believe it's been 15 years. Through the years, my business has brought me many new experiences and opportunities. For a few years I was the exclusive cake decorator for 3 major yacht charter companies in Boston, I've gotten the chance to produce corporate cakes for companies like Reebok and Rutter Networking, and I've met a lot of really wonderful people. From customers to vendors, I've had the good fortune to be involved in a business that I enjoy and that makes people happy. Recently, I've also become part of a group of cake decorators here in southern New Hampshire. We meet regularly and keep up with one another through email in between. We also work together and cover one another when the need arises. This allows us to have a trusted friend back us up for vacations and busy times. They are an amazing group of cake decorators and friends. So now I'm looking forward to the next 15 years. With my friends and family to support me and the wonderful customers that continue to come I expect the next 15 years will be even more exciting than the first 15. Check this site now and then as Carole's Cake Creations continues to grow. Thank you very much to all of my customers and thanks to all who've supported me over the years. Carole
